Chenna Podo (Paneer Cake)





Ingredients:

1 Paneer/Chenna 3 cup
2 Sooji/Semolina 3 table spoon
3 Sugar 8 table spoon
4 Ghee/butter (little warm) 4 table spoon
5 Milk 3 table spoon
6 Raisins 5 pieces
7 Cashew pieces 5 pieces
8 Cardamom powder 1 table spoon


Preparation:

  1. In a big bowl, add mash little paneer thoroughly. Add sugar mix nicely. Now add semolina, ghee (make it little warm, so add liquid ghee. which help it to mix thoroughly) and milk it well using your hands.Now fry the dry fruits in 1 tsp of ghee.




  1. Mix in the dry fruits if you want them at this point. Now add milk and cardamom powder mix well. To get a caramelized effect on the top, apply a tablespoon of ghee or butter to the bottom of the baking dish .


  1. sprinkle with sugar and then hold it slightly above a gas stove for a few minutes to melt the sugar. Spread the melted sugar evenly .

  1. Pour into a oven safe dish the paneer mixture over the sugar.


  1. Bake in a p heated oven of 350 degree Fahrenheit (176 degree Centigrade) for 45 to 50 minutes till the top turns to light brown, insert a toothpick, it's done when the toothpick comes out clean


  1. Cool for 20 minutes, then turn it upside down.It should stay fresh for a week in the fridge .

  1. Cut into pieces like cutting a cake.This sweet u can it hot or cool.
