Vegetable Kakara Pitha





Ingredients For Vegetable Masala:

Ingredients for Kakara:

3 Sugar 1/2 cup
4 Cardamom Powder 1/2 tablespoon
5 Oil 2 cup




Preparation:



For Stuffing:
  1. In a large saute pan, heat 1 table spoon of oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion & cook for about 1 min until the onion turns brown color.
  3. Add the salt, green matar, jeera powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder & then the boiled potatoes and fry for a 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. It cool until it is easy enough.




To Proceed:
  1. Take a kadhai and boil of water in this, when water starts boiling add salt and sugar.
  2. When it starts boiling put small amount of rawa( suji) and stir it. Do the same for the rest of rawa. Stir it properly to avoid forming lumps. Keep it on the flame for 2 min. Remove from flame and keep aside.
  3. Wait till the dough cools down to room temperature, kneed the dough with oil to make it softer.
  4. Make small balls from the above dough, roll out each ball into small round shape and
    put vegetable stuff to it, then roll it again to make a ball


  1. Make the above balls into flat shape like puri’s, in between your palms.

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry the above flatten balls in a lower flame till it turns golden brown from each side.

  1. Kakara pitha is ready and serve it cool.
