Chandrakanti


Ingredients:

1 Moong dal 1 cup
2 Sugar 1 cup
3 Cardamom Powder 1/4 tablespoon
4 Salt to taste

5 Oil (frying) 2 cup

Preparation:
  1. Soak the moong dal in the water for 1 hours .Wash them thoroughly & then grind finely & make batter. ( The paste should not b that much fine or do not make it fine paste)
  2. At first heat the pan. Take water as same as the quantity batter in the pan & add sugar to it.




  3. Stir the water so that the sugar coagulates with the water then add salt.


     
  4.  Add the batter to the pan, when the batter gains its consistency add cardamom powder & stir well.



  5. Now apply a coat of oil on a plate & pour the mixture into it.


  6. Keep the plate unaltered for 45 minutes so that the mixture hardens & attains the shape of the plate.
  7. Cut the settled mixture into desired shapes.




  8. Preheat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the pieces on low flame till they become golden brown.





  9. Drain on paper towels & serve immediately or at least on the same day.They do keep well for at least 4 days but are best eaten immediately


  10. Now the Chandrakanti pieces are ready to serve.
