Coconut Paneer Stuffed Sweet Idli (Pura Dia Idli)


Ingredients:

1 Urad dal( white) 1 cup
2 Rice rawa 2 cup
3 Jaggery 1/2 cup
4 Cardamom Powder 1/4 tablespoon
5 Backing soda Pinch
6 Salt to taste

7 Ghee 1 tablespoon
8 Panner (Chenna) 1 cup


Preparation:
  1. Wash and soak the urad dal for 6 hours & grind into a smooth paste.
  1. Soak the rawa for about 1/2 hours. Wash & drain completely. Add to the urad dal paste along backing soda, salt & keep aside for 7 hours. Don't let it become sour.
  1. Heat a pan, add ghee followed with the Jagger & allow it to melt. Add the greated coconut & stir fry for 5 min. Sprinkle the cardamom powder, then add the paneer & mix well.Remove from the stove.



  1. Grease the idli plates with little oil.Pour a little batter into the holes. Add coconut panner filling followed with more batter to cover it.

  1. Put the idli plates inside the idli stand & steam for 15 minutes
  1. Let it cool for sometimes, take it out with a butter knife.
  1. Serve hot with Ghuguni / Chutney
